What's the baseball culture like in Korea? Just how big is baseball, especially compared to other sports such as soccer?

May not stay that way forever. Soccer took a huge leap forward in popularity with Son Heung Min. Prior to that, baseball was the unquestioned top sport- so it may have a chance to overtake baseball eventually with another superstar or two. I would say baseball interest is extremely healthy in Korea, however- it's probably one of the few countries I'm extremely optimistic on baseball's future.

Baseball is facing somewhat similar issues in Japan as we're having in America- declining interest amongst the youth and a fanbase that's overly boomer focused. It feels stagnant in Japan and the US, but I'm hoping we can see a turnaround in the next decade.
