When I was little i was a very light sleeper, the tiniest noise would set me off and i would be alert for the rest of the night. My room in the house was right down the hall from my parents room, and theirs is infront of the front door. Anyway, one night i woke up to the sound of the front door lock jiggling, and then the door opening wide. My heart started racing when i realized i could still hear both my parents snoring. Whoever entered my house was wearing heavy boots, i lay frozen in my bed listening to his steps come closer, until he was in the hallway and i could see him. It was dark and so i saw was a sillhouette, but he was very tall. He walked down the hall and stopped infront of my bedroom door. I couldnt breathe, i thought if i made any sound i would be dead. The man just stood there for a minute facing me, then walked away and left my house closing the door behind him. When he was gone i called to my mom and dad, they both answered. I asked my dad what he was doing outside and he told me i had just woken him up. Once i told my parents what happened that night they always made sure to double check our locks at night.
