Kind of cheating since it's my own, but I think it's pretty darn cute.

I first met my boyfriend when we were 11 years old. I had a huge crush on him instantly and apparently he did too (but I wouldn't find out until after we started dating). I constantly tried flirting with him throughout the years and he was always very cold and would brush off any interaction we had so I stopped outright flirting and just stuck to friendly interactions. Turns out he liked me so much he'd clam up whenever I talked to him and would have a mini freak out so that's why he never engaged in conversation much.

Fast forward a few years and we're both 13. There was a little musical going on and his mom forced him to be a part of the backstage crew. The backstage crew was wildly known for having tons of cute boys so no girls ever joined (also the group hosting it was pretty sexist and believed the work to be too "manly" for girls) and I was like well shit dude sign me up. Since we were 13 and shitty my best friend and I planned on me joining the crew and hooking us up with some cute guys. Except we had lied to each other about who our crushes were (we were afraid of losing the friendship over boys) and I thought she had a crush on my boyfriend and she thought I had a crush on this other guy, Jack.

So I started talking to boyfriend more and more and eventually befriended him and Jack. The following year I joined the crew again and ended up asking for boyfriend's number. I told best friend all of this and she was oddly supportive of it and told me to date him. And with her blessing I began pursuing dat ass.

I knew he liked me because the first time I texted him we stayed up until 6 in the morning talking to each other and for the next two weeks we'd stay up until 2-3 just texting about everything and nothing. We talked for two more months and went on two horribly awkward semi-dates until finally I asked him out. He gladly said yes and we've been together for 4 years now.
