What's a dead give away that someone is intelligent?

I've never seen star wars so I can't answer without violating what I've just said.

Here's a somewhat related example of the point I'm trying to make when someone asked me why we forgive people.

Because it's sane. It's the epitome of refined logic. By forgiving someone you're admitting you don't know enough about them as a person, their upbringing, the environment that shaped them and a whole host of factors involved in that process.

This includes but is not limited to:

familial relationships, education and social activity, societal and cultural values, language itself, how objects are labeled, what connotations are associated with the language used, how all of the aforementioned static and dynamic influences are filtered through this biased mind, historical factors that went into creating the conditions ad almost infinitum.

at another scale:

Whether or not their hippocampus proliferated astrocytal glial cells in order to induce a heightened state of awareness and whether or not the posterior cingulate cortex was sufficiently supplied with the proper amount of electrical activity at the time of an important event in their life leading them to integrate the information from a reserved and conservative state. How that event may have changed patterns in their development.

You can see where I'm going with this.
