What's the difference between Focalin and Dexedrine?

I've never been on dexetrine bc I've never found a doctor to prescribe it to me. Therefore I assumed it was stronger but could be wrong. If I'm correct it's not really one of the most commonly prescribed adhd drugs, atleast from what I've seen. I have been on focalin though and if I remember correctly it didn't really do jack shit for me.

Focalin is a "Methylphenidate, which works by helping the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine in your brain. It’s also a mild stimulant." (healthline.com) I never found methylphenidates such as focalin, Ritalin and Concerta to help me like the amphetamines.

Dexetrine is an amphetamine, which there's not much on how amphetamines work but they are a "central nervous system stimulant" so sounds like I was right that the amphetamines are stronger.

But remember everyone's system is different and reacts to things differently and have different tolerances. I've been on Concerta, focalin, Ritalin, Adderall ir & xr and Vyvanse. So far Adderall has alway been my favorite with Vyvanse in second place.
