What's going on with r/The_Donald? Why they got quarantined in 1 hour ago?

Misinformation was thrown around like confetti, all in the name of 'memes', and conspiracy theories ran rampant.

While this is true, they also highlighted:

* How much of it was going on in /r/Politics and its sister sub, /r/Worldnews as well. Much of the linking wasn't about brigading, but highlighting how much bullshit happens with users getting banned solely for political views (like pro-gun, anti-abortion, pro-industry) or having a dissenting opinion in what is supposed to be a space for discussion. Once these things were pointed out, it isn't hard to unintentionally 'brigade' a top sub on reddit when the posts are easy to find.

* How many bots were participating on both campaign sides spreading fake pro-Hillary and pro-Trump news - likely a division tactic by the Russian government

* How much fake news was being spread by the media and still is. In a recent example - things like the tweet that was picked up by many news outlets showing a picture Obama era illegal immigrant detention but presenting it as a failing by the Trump administration in 2019, or highlighting shortages when taking care of kids but ignoring the fact that we are currently under a crisis in which approximately 45,000 illegal immigrants have been detained trying to cross the border by Border Patrol in the past 3 weeks - a tremendous number.

Point is, they are a lot like Fox News for Reddit. They are the only voice counter to the top/main/default subs and while their voice is often drowned out by the voices of the other subs, they are a lot easier to target because their actions are more concentrated around that sub.
