Whats a hobby someone can have that is an immediate red flag?

To me there is a difference between organized sports and unorganized sports. People getting together and playing is great, which is what some after-school activities are. But it's becoming more and more common to do it exclusively to win, and only the kids who fit the bill of a perfect athlete can get in.

I remember I did competitive long jump for a bit. I was just happy to be there, but I saw the reactions of the kids who didn't get in, the coaches' and parents' interactions with these elementary school kids, and the terror on the faces of the kids facing adults they should trust when they didn't get an acceptable ranking.

Long jump was fun. The events are awful.
