What's legal but morally wrong?

Yes children should be taught about all religions when they are old enough to understand it. One should not force a belief on an infant just because they believe it to be truth, that's not fair. A child should be able to choose what they want to believe in when they know all about what there is to believe in. Normally, when one is part of a single religion that they believe to be true and absolute then they reject anything else that isn't what they believe in. (people rejecting evolution and the big bang theory because it goes against their religion.) Then we have the extremes: hate towards those of other faiths just because they do not believe in the same thing, sometimes even violence. People that are heavily focused on their religions often become jaded to only things their religion deems okay and if an infant/child is taught that right away without knowing anything about other beliefs and religions then they too will become jaded to only theirs and will push aside or even shun other beliefs or truths. No I am not saying don't teach children anything, I wasn't implying that at all. What I'm saying is don't teach a child one part of a story and tell them that that, and only that part is truth and absolute. You should teach them to read the whole story, to leave about everything then let them decide which they believe to be truth.

edit for clarification since people are skewing my words and taking this the wrong way

I wouldn't shield a child from religion or products of a religion. Again, that's not what I was saying. I wouldn't force one single religion on them and tell them that that one single religion is absolute truth. I would let them learn about everything and make their choice on what they want to believe. (I had already said this) If they see a cross and want to know what it is I will tell them what religion it belongs to and what it means to them and their story behind it. I'm not hiding them from religion, I'm not telling them that all religions are bad, I would tell them about religions and let them learn about them all in an equal way instead of only teaching them one and letting them believe that one is truth and making them believe other religions are false and shouldn't be believed.
