What's the most fucked up thing you have seen at a party?
The Invite. I was 18 working as a waiter when a coworker of mine, Nathan, invited me to this party his brother Nick was throwing at some relative’s conveniently empty lake house. Nathan promised me he would grab an extra shirt because he knew I would be a mess from working my shift that night.
The Duffle. When I pulled into the driveway Nathan was buzzing pretty good but told me to find the bedroom and the shirt would be in a black duffle bag. When I got to the bedroom, the only bag I could find was not black but gigantic and red. It was a Jansport brand duffel bag and it was actually hidden under a pile of laundry in the corner. It looked less like a duffle and more like the size of a body bag. I thought twice about opening it but figured my friend was probably drunk and forgot what color his bag was. When I unzipped the bag I was amazed at the amount of stuff it held; there was at least 75 newer CDs on top, 20-30 PC and PlayStation games, a Sony Vaio laptop, a camcorder, a graphing calculator, and all kinds of other good shit. I thought--there is no way Nate brought all this stuff to this party, so I quickly zipped the bag and left.
The Party. When I found Nathan he didn’t understand what I was trying to tell him about the bag and just grabbed an old shirt from his brother’s car. We all got drunk and much fun was had. Nathan and I woke in the morning with a mixture of Nick’s high school and college friends laying all about.
The Heist. One of the friends had walked down to the other side of property where his car was parked and noticed that many of the cars had broken rear windows. All of these cars had been unlocked and pilfered. The list of missing items included many of the things I saw in the red bag. Without thinking twice I opened my mouth and mentioned the red duffle in the back room. Immediately torches were lit and pitchforks drawn as the mob of hungover bros went to the back room to check out the mystery bag. When we opened the door Nick’s girlfriend was in the room but facing the window. She quickly turned around and acted super nervous. While the rest of guys tore apart the room searching for the bag, I caught a glimpse of something moving outside the window. I peeked my head out to see a wafer thin girl dragging a red duffle bag from directly under the window across the back lawn. The crowd caught on, gave chase, and tore the bag from the girl’s hands before she could get it in her trunk. They ripped open the bag and quickly discovered their items.
Wafer girl and Nick’s girlfriend were the only girls who spent the night at the party. It turns out that Nick’s girlfriend didn’t mind that he had a little bro party as she had it all planned (with Wafer girl) to profit. Nick was devastated and it was heartbreaking to see him inspect the damage on half a dozen of his friend’s cars and realize his girlfriend was the one responsible. He quickly ended things with this girl, but many of the high school friends believed that Nick had been involved and destroyed his name around town.
TLDR; A thief breaks the windows of 6 cars at a college party, turns out the thief is the girlfriend of the party host.
