Another would probably be a drug addict who whilst stoned out of his mind had smashed his toddlers skull against the toilet. I suppose there’s something about picking up bits of skull and brain from a child is quite horrific.

For my, personally, I saw a guy get hit in the face with a machete when I was around 14 or so. There was a surprising amount of blood considering you don’t really think of your head as a fleshy/bloody part of the body. The injury itself wasn’t too gruesome I suppose as blood masked basically everything instantly, but when coupled with his screaming and frantic grabbing at his face it left a mark.
