Whats the most physically painful thing you have ever experienced?

I once had what we (family and drs) now think, was a random large air bubble wedged between my heart and lung. The best way to describe the feeling was every 5-10 minutes it felt like someone was spearing a molten lance through my chest breast to back.

I have always had an oddly high threshold for pain - walking on broken ankles, not realizing my collar bone was broken for weeks when I was very young, sleeping through 5-8 hour tattoo sessions, etc. I'm a burn victim with massive scars across my chest/stomach that cannot compare to this pain.

My parents knew something was extremely wrong when I called them begging to take me to the hospital because my husband was working.

I would randomly start convulsing due to the pain and was immediately admitted because pretty much everyone thought I was having a pulmonary embolis and was about to drop dead. All tests and X-rays came back negative.

ER Dr finally decided to try a ditch effort of giving me a muscle relaxer and/or an opioid (I think Demerol) because I was not in the exact right mind and started arguing and refusing to let the doctors cut my side open and break a rib because it could potentially fuck up one of my tattoos. I was also getting very upset that I was going to be given an opiod. Because, priorities and logic.

Within a minute after they administered what ever they gave me, I felt a little gurgle in my chest. Like, if you're drinking beer out of a can and you have a little burp lingering before you make a big burp but in my chest. Then, for like 20-30 seconds it felt like around my heart/lung/ribs was like when you mix baking soda and vinegar.

Then I was totally fine. Like nothing ever happened. It was the weirdest thing and single handedly the most painful experience of my life.
