Tolerance and intolerance in the christian community

This went from a simple conversation to you trying to win an argument.

No. I am not pointing words in your mouth. If you don't believe they deserve Hell, then I am sorry I characterized you as believing that. If you do, then I maintain my point. Answer this: if I were morally perfect in every possible way, and yet, I was in love with someone of the same gender as myself and we had a standard romantic relationship, would I still deserve Hell? If so, I maintain my point; if not, I concede it and apologize.

I have NEVER said that anyone is abhorrent, disgusting, horrid, disgusting, etc. I also DO NOT WANT anyone to face eternal destruction.

I don't see how this is strengthening your case. We are talking about eternal damnation. Darkness, pain, torment, and so forth. Making the claim that gay people are on the road to eternal suffering, but they are not somehow horrid, then I just am in shock of what exactly earns you eternal damnation? You can say sin, however, if sin is not horrid or abhorrent, then why believe people are being eternally punished for it? This seems to be the equivalent of punching a small girl in the face and then going on the defensive of "well I NEVER said she was a horrible person; she is so sweet. Did she deserve to get punched or not? If you are going to be punishing and harming people, I don't understand why you want to defend that by claiming these people are upstanding citizens.

I also DO NOT WANT anyone to face eternal destruction

Well, if you did, you would be certifiably insane. Which is why I never said you particularly want this; I even granted that you are sincere on your quest to save souls.

None of us are worthy of salvation and that's the reason why Christ died for us. He died to pay our penalty and reconcile us to God.

Again, the horrible sin of being gay that earns you eternal darkness, pain, misery, suffering, and torment. Saying we all are not worthy of salvation seems to imply supplementary sins. Maybe we all deserve Hell. However, the idea that straight people deserve it less than gay people is why I think you cannot honestly say you love and accept them. And let me be clear about what I mean by deserve it more, as you will most likely object. I mean, if no supplementary sins had been committed by a loving gay couple, then they would still be deserving of damnation. That is what I mean. If there were a straight couple and a gay couple who were morally perfect in every way, you would still hold that the gay couple is deficient. They would deserve Hell. You think that deserves eternal punishment. And yet, you want to defend that their love is not an abomination or in some way, horrid? I don't comprehend what you are saying.

The reason Jesus was able to atone for sins is because he lived a morally perfect life, correct? But if Jesus loved people of his same gender romantically, he would somehow not be able to die for the goodness of all mankind, correct? Why is that? Is it because there is something horrid about being gay? I don't understand what else you could think it is if Jesus, being morally perfect in every other way, would somehow be tainted and deserving of Hell for being gay.
