What's the pettiest thing a former employer has done?

I had a scrap truck i was selling for parts. As a show of power and order, this huge company that i used to do work for continuously offered me employment. I tell them no. They literally purchased this scrap truck (which was way more to fix than worth) and literally went in the deeeeep negatives to get it running again. I mean wasted so much money for a truck that will have soooo many miles once running again. Anyways- they buy it off of me in person with cash. They say “we will get this thing running” i said … okay.. then you have $10,000 in body work. They say “no problem”. This truck was being sold for parts. Every mechanic told me it’s impossible and laughed at the idea of it ever running again.

So a year later they pull up to a job and say “check out your old scrap truck!”

They literally made it a point to show me how much money they have.

For a 3 seconds of “wow thats nice man”. It just seemed like a massive waste of time and money to me. But they definitely showed me how much they have to throw away.

I still don’t work there.
