I dont even know what to say. If you've read the Bruce story and are still confident that you won't end up like him... then there's really nothing myself or anyone else can say.

You mentioned working at a western company. This would most likely only be feasible if you move to Tokyo. Not sure where your girlfriend is from but she may or may not be okay with living far from her family in Japan. Many Japanese refuse to live far from their parents as that means actually having to put effort into raising kids and not just having a free babysitter down the street.

Honestly I could go on and on. Just be aware of what you're getting yourself into. Also, you had better make sure your relationship is rock-solid because many young lads tend to fool around when they start getting more female attention after stepping off the plane here.
