What's a secret you'll never tell your partner but are willing to tell strangers on Reddit?

I travelled for work for our first 2 kids. It was the only way we could make enough. My wife is a teacher, and while her job is demanding, it isn't lucrative. The job was the only thing I was qualified to do.

I know it was hard on her. That's why I quit. I knew that she was human and I was stretching her thin. I knew that she was doing the best any person could reasonably do. If she told me this happened she wouldn't have to apologize. It was something that happened because you were tired and beaten. You were pulled in all directions by your children, your career, your relationship - and that's before you even begin considering yourself and your mental state as something you have to maintain. You were that tired because you cared enough to work yourself to the point of exhaustion. Mistakes like that aren't because you're a bad mother, they're because you're an incredibly good mother.
