What's the shittiest thing an employer has ever done to you?

In Vietnam I worked at a "Christian missionary" private kindergarten school where the owners were doing several things that led up to me being very vocal about their wrongdoings. Firstly, despite them portraying an image of helping poverty stricken Vietnamese, they would hire minors in positions in which there was absolutely no future for them. For instance, they were hiring 16 year old girls to be live in maids for the school who cook, clean, do menial work for teachers, etc. This ends up being a 10+ hour per day job for them, and then they have to sleep in the school because most of them are sourced from the countryside and have nowhere else to stay. Not all of them were minors, but all of them lived there. They were getting paid a total of something like $75USD per month. They pay them this low because they charge them living expenses for sleeping in the school. This costs them nothing at all because it's rent they already pay for with tuition from the enrolled students, yet they wont pay them full salaries because they are sleeping in there.

There then came a point where the school didn't have enough licensed teachers to work there. They needed to meet a minimum requirement of licensed teachers otherwise the government would shut the school down. So, they hired some teacher from the Philippines who had a degree in early childhood education and specialized in teaching special needs kids. She was hands down one of the best teachers at that school, but once the heat was off of the school, they fired her and hired some 19 year old white kid. I was furious and confronted the boss on the issue. I asked why she was fired and they said because she's Filipino and she wasn't marketable. Naturally, I became enraged and told them how wrong everything was that they were doing. From hiring minors, to paying slave salaries, to firing qualified teachers based on race. I told the owner of the school straight up that what they were doing was not only illegal, but morally wrong. Then it happened. She fired me too.
