I can't really say that I have flexes I don't tell anyone about. I'm slightly secretive about giving sometimes. But also I've found that I've inspired people around me to give so sometimes it's a good thing to share.

On paper I gave away $33,000 in a three year period to various charities the last time I was working full time. Those are the donations I can track. I gave out several thousand more dollars a few hundred or maybe a thousand or two(in one case) at a time during that period by dropping whatever cash I had on me in fund raising jars and what not.

The people I just dropped cash with didn't know who I was and I never really told anyone "Hey, I just dropped $500 off in that toy drive envelope." Although one place I gave $2000 to for natural disaster relief tracked me down through work. My boss came and asked if I had given someone money because she got a thank you note from them. I guess I must have just said it was from the office when pressed instead of giving my name.
