When you spent months/years trying to get a diagnosis and you finally get one

Yeah diagnosis doesn't actually do anything for autism all it can do is make you trust your autistic more It can bring relief in the confirmation that you are autistic but if you're not seeking that it does nothing usually the benefit of a formal diagnosis is so you can be prescribed with medicine and therapy but as we all know too well there is no cure to autism and while you still have therapy this can just help with some of the many problems that could have been collected because or not because of your autism it won't actually help with getting rid of the autism itself not to say that you shouldn't try therapy if you feel it could assist you but it won't cure you and as a therapist in training I will admit that no therapist no level of therapy no modern medicine could ever with our modern knowledge cure autism we can help and we can cure other disorders but not autism
