I don’t mean to be rude and of course I know nothing about your family or your personal situation but it sounds like taking a little extra time out of your day to help the person who is housing you, probably free of charge, is the least you could do. Don’t mean to be harsh. That’s just my take and of course when people give advice it’s usually based off their own personal experiences. Maybe chip in a little more. If I were your uncle, and I have been this uncle, I’d be incredibly annoyed also. His response to you is indicative of someone who’s been disappointed by you a time or two too many. Sorry.
