Where were you when 9/11 happened?

My dad was downtown that day and just a few blocks away when the towers fell. To your point, there was panic on the streets and a woman fell in front of him so he picked her up and helped her walk with him for many blocks before she was able to calm down from the shock. She also ended up walking barefoot because she also was wearing heels. And he also ended up walking many miles home across the Brooklyn Bridge.

My mom was losing her mind through all of this because it was before cell phones and the land-lines were down so he had no way to call home. She had just picked me up early from school (all the kids got picked up early) and I remember sitting in front of the TV watching the towers fall with my mom looking extremely stressed while on the phone trying to track him down.
