I had a drinking problem.

After a Billy Joel concert at MSG, my highly intoxicated self drops my phone and it slides into the crowd and it’s gone in an instant. A girl comes over and gives it back to me and at first she’s my savior.

Then, she said something to me. I can’t remember what she said but it pissed me off. So drunk me responds with:

“Get out of here you fucking bitch. Fuck you bitch! Fuck you bitch!” and her friend drags her off, never to be seen again. I’ll never forget the look of horror on her face.

I still think about her sometimes only in that I want to apologize. Whatever she said to me almost certainly didn’t warrant my response.
