You honestly want to help stop it? Learn to live like a refugee/trafficked person, then get employed in trafficking, but without any intention to screw them over. Just be disarmingly agreeable, make sure you get you paycheque every pay period, let small wage theft slide, and learn how to live like someone who would be exploited in that situation. Work for traffickers like you don't have a full grasp of English. They take advantage of vulnerable people like this. Be that vulnerable person. Be mildly exploitable. Live it.

It will allow you to get a feel for the environment and tactics traffickers employ on the vulnerable. You have to basically be that vulnerable immigrant to do anything effective in these kinds of situations.

It will fuck you up if you are in it long term. They torment people I'm these systems. It is slavery. You have to put yourself into slavery, WITHOUT it being your job to cause these people problems first, before you could be considered for this kind of work.

Just going in somewhere with true government/legal connections doesn't work like that.

Be careful. Once you've been employed by traffickers once, they are the only people who will want to hire you, because you are a known warm body for exploitation. Depending on what you look like and the demands of known connections, they will basically sell you into sexual or labour trafficking too.

You will be kept from interacting with anyone, even in the health care system, that is not 'paid off' to deal with trafficked persons in the way the traffickers and exploiters want an individual to be dealt with to suit their needs and situation.

If you notice how they do things, they will torture you so when you try to speak up you will be labelled 'crazy'. That is why they prefer immigrants who do not speak English well.
