Let me preface by saying that I am from Texas (Coryell County) & lived in & around Austin / Dripping Springs for 6 years. One summer's day I ran into Alex Jones at a Redbox near the Nutty Brown Cafe outside of Dripping Springs. Full story : Was returning home with my girlfriend when we had to return some recently rented DVD's to a Redbox outside of a CVS. While I was walking up to the Redbox I noticed a gentleman seeming to have some issues with the machine (had his wallet in his hands, several debit cards out & seemed confused). I waited patiently behind him as he figured out the situation when he finally gave up (about 3 minutes later) & asked if I could help him with an issue. As I approached the machine I didn't exactly get a good look at his face. He was wearing sunglasses & was wearing noting but denim & boots. Had his denim, western shirt opened near the neck showcasing some gold necklaces he was wearing. But back to the issue he was having. Noticed he was renting over the maximum amount of movies (think he was trying to get 5 & it only allowed 3). Got a quick look at what he was renting & one movie was Valhalla Rising & Atlas Shrugged. After I told him what was up & that he had a rental limit I turned around & mentioned to him that : "Hey. Does anyone ever tell you that you look like Bill Hicks?" & that is when he responded with "Some people think I am Bill Hicks.". I lost it. Instantly recognized him & said "Holy shit, you are Alex Jones." Mentioned to my vehicle & got my Girlfriends attention & we talked to him for a few quick seconds. We had casual conversation asking if he lived around the area out there & how his day was going & parted ways. There were also a few other times friends & I would bump into him at Barton Springs during the summer. Guy is a swimmer! Swam the entire length, twice!
