It is indeed just a word. A racist is someone who has a prejudice against a certain race. I’ll now attempt to find a race I dislike specifically to answer your question. I am North African. My dearest friends are white, Hispanic, Asian, other North Africans like me, and Central African (African American to be exact). Those are the races I’ve interacted with and I’ve never at any point had an issue with any of them purely on race. And the people I have disliked have tended to be for reasons other than race, but they do actually include racism, and racism in this context did not mean just uttering a word. It meant genuinely wishing Ill on someone simply because of the colour of their skin and their native tongue.
