A whole lotta regret

introduced by man

Well, besides the Fact, that only this Part of this Sentence would let someone understand you are not talking about "Homo Sapiens", it`s also no good Argument for killing them, in my Eyes anyway.

For me it looks like this: We catch Animals and carry them off to somewhere they don`t belong, then we wait like 100 Years till they have dramatically increased in Population and then we go like "Ouh I kinda dislike what this Species is doing here to all the pretty Birds and Flowers I like so much, lets kill them all!" It´s just not right.

It´s us causing a Problem and then it`s us making something else pay... (while at the very End we will pay even more anyway)

There are many Examples for invasive Species introduced by Man and always when People talk about those, they seem pretty aware of that we realy should stop doing such Things. Its often explained, that we have introduced Species somewhere to achieve a certain Goal, thinking we can controll everything (playing God), but learned, that we cant.

But then we dont stop. Yes, we dont introduce Species to Ecosystems anymore like this, but when it comes to the opposite Case, we are still acting the same.

Like we bring a Toad to Australia to fight Insects, then we realise that we didnt know what we we were doing and that we should not play God, but then we get a Problem with that Toad and decide, to take Action against it for the very same Purpose again.., shaping this Planet as we think it would be best, completly forgetting, that this was a Thing we didnt want to do anymore because thats exactly what brought us there in the first Place and the only Argument we need for this, is that we have introduced that Species there in the so that its our Responsibility... Idk that`s just stupid...

AAnd who says that on the same Earth, without Mankind, Wild Hogs couldnt be the dominant Species on every Continent? Only because we introduced a Species which became invasive afterwards, doesnt mean it would never have reached this Area on it`s own and have caused the same, then "naturally" Change of the Ecosystem or that no other Species would then soon have become the dominant Species while causing even more "Damage"...

So, no! we are not responsible for the Way our Ecosystem changes from now and so we should not try to intervene too much only to get the World looking like we imagine its best, keeping in Mind we dont know what is "best" in the first Place and if our Plans would even workout...

And this is not a vegan Hippie writing this. For me this Topic isnt about the poor Hogs i feel so sorry for, its only about us, about our Role in this World, the Decisions that we make and the Actions we take. I want to believe, that we are smart enough to learn of our Mistakes and do better in Future. Realy, I`m not here to save the poor Hogs. My Intention rather is to point out our Missunderstanding of our Situation and Role and the Fact that we will drive us against a Wall with this Kind of Attitude.

A Child which accedently drops a Vase and fears his Parents Reactions would probably try to fix it with Glue or hide it or do whatever comes to his Mind first, to get away without Punishment. This Behavior is neither right nor good/ healthy for the Child it self or for anyone else, right!? A wiser human Beeing instead would have just looked at what he has done, thought about the Consequences, admited his Mistake and would then just learn to live with what he has done and probably he would think about how to avoid doing this again in Future and how to make Life better without this Vase.

So I want us to be wise. I don`t want us to make Things worse by "fixing" them quickly only to get away without Punishment, because I know, this Way the Punishment will be worse and that we will suffer from bad Conscience beforehand anyway. Sorry for Wall of Text and probably bad English. :D
