With EA shutting down Visceral to most likely move their single-player Star Wars game to a "games as a service" online model, I want to thank PlayStation for continuing to believe in and bring single-player focused games to the console.

It seems a lot of the the so called "AAA" space has lost the love for video games these days. Not all of them, (BOTW, Persona, Nier, Horizon) but most of them don't consider video games an art. It's truly sad. I think in the near future we will look to indie devs to bring us the great, artistic, story driven experiences we crave. There's to much money in the games as a service business for larger developers to ignore. It sucks, but it is what it is. Recently we saw Shadow of War put loot boxes into a game heavily focused on single player. While they aren't as egregious as some have lead us to believe it's still a bad look and the industry as a whole is trending in a negative direction. 10 years ago we never would have thought that we would have to pay out real money to gamble for better items, loot and whatever else in any game. Let alone a single player game. It's a sad day to be a gamer. Now the news comes yesterday that Visceral has been canned and the Star Wars game we all drempt about has been cancelled, again. Vote with your pockets people. We can get through this.
