The words haven't been invented to describe this stupidity.

I think it is just general human nature...that there is something deep within us that makes it easier for us to generalize groups of people and see them as some sort of threat. Its like we have a need to put a qualitative value on other humans and not look at them as individuals.

From your post, it looks like you have a rather diverse group of friends. I have that as well now, but growing up, all of my friends were like me, and granted I had preconceived notions of people that were not like me. It wasn't until college when I got out of what I didn't realize was a sheltered environment and started meeting different people and realizing that stereotypes are just things that we make up because we don't know any better.

The lady in the video is a classic example of this. She probably doesn't have a diverse group of friends like you, and probably only hangs out with others that look like her and think like her. Her views of others are shared by her friends and they share the same views back to her, like some sort of racists feedback loop. Granted I am making a generalization about her here, but all I have to base this on is her youtube channel and how she responds to people that disagree with her on her channel.

I don't know, I thought by now that racism would be a thing of the past, with all the knowledge we have at our fingertips. Maybe that's why racism is still here, that with all our technological achievements in the internet and social media, that we have only just made it easier to spread preconceived notions around.

Personally, I only see racism within humans ending in one of two ways: 1) People start to get to know other people that are different from them 2) Aliens appear on Earth, and humans join together under the blanket of the human race and direct their racist towards the aliens.
