Never forget the shit we do is important, it may suck, drain the life out of you and break down our bodies... but it's important. We volunteered for deployments, months away from family, months out in the desert/far away countries, stressful jobs, low pay, frustrating leadership, crap hours, missed holidays, body pains, but we put up with all of this so others don't have to. Most people will never understand this, but it doesn't matter what branch or job you are in, we are cogs in a machine designed to protect this country and ideology. Whether you are cook, sitting at a comfy desk, or down range next to me, you have a job to do, it's important, it matters, and no matter what you are a soldier
