It’s the same man up there on the pulpit. He just wears different faces.

Primitive men dominating our spaces, Filling our places with hatred.

No wonder so many of us cower in fear. Numbing ourselves with substances. Hoping to disappear.

"Who will win an Emmy this year?" Idolized distractions.

These are the bullies of the playground. The tensions build.

Miscommunication and the words confound. Chaos and fury, a revengeful rebound.

A counter attack out of the blue! "They asked for it really, it’s the least we should do!"

These nationalistic flags run blood red with hate. Beating our fists is no way to negotiate.

These primitive views of "other" are outdated. A landslide of hate is churned and created.

Entitled men with greedy selfish hands, Drying up waterways and starving out lands.

People crushed by bombs below. Their silenced voices, echo.

We close our eyes. Listening to the increasing crescendo.

Ignorance as a choice is still choosing. Our planet is losing.

How long will we remain voiceless? History remembers this chorus. Lest we forget.
