Would you take on a huge remodel?

Hello! Great questions!

It will be worth the monetary investment. It is a large estate, 16 acres, with a barn (that I want to turn into an Airbnb), 6000 sq feet, six bedrooms, two parlors, and three baths 30 minutes from Boston, MA. It’s worth a bit already.

If I did this, I would live there until I died. It is a legacy and that is the main reason to do it. If my kid wants to sell when she inherits it, that’s her choice, I don’t want to let it go when I’m gen 13 that would be living there.

I would want it to be a family compound. Currently live in a 2500 sq ft house on six acres, building an in law for my parents. If I moved to my grandparents place, my father would not go with me tho. He hates the place, so he would just stay in his home or I’d give him mine, where ever he wants to retire.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! Lots to consider!
