[WP] You are a kindergarten 'assassin'. You don't kill people though. You are paid (in candy, toys, etc) to get other kids grounded.

12 years at primary. 4 years as a undergrad and 4 more fucking years for a PHD to be a glorified babysitter to a bunch of puking, untied shoe wearing, pant wetting punks.

I was swimming in debt, still living with my parent and just starting my second year "teaching" kindergarten for even less money than I made the year before. When the opportunity for extra work came along I couldn't turn it down.

The yellow envelope had no return address. What it the letter said had rocked me to my foundation.

"Mr. Dick" it began, unsigned of course. "Our child is in your class. Billy Thorson is bullying our child and many other children. We want this to stop. We can't go to the authorities. We have nowhere else to turn. You are our only hope. We can promise you will be rewarded."

My mind reeled. What did these people want? Flunk him? report him? Kill him?

I knew Billy. 5 years old and doomed to be a stereotype. Big for his age, 3 older brothers who beat on him mercilessly and a father with impossible expectations.

The phone rang. "Hello?"

"You got the letter?" a voice asked. It was obviously being altered.

"Yes. Who is this?"

"That's not important. You do this and we'll take care of you/"

"How? Why?"

"Why is not important. How is easy. For you. Billy brings home a few bad grades, misses a birthday party or 2 because he's grounded and by next year the popular kids will kick him to the curb. Are you in?"

"How much?" I asked

"Plenty. Are you in?" the voice was demanding.

"Yes."

"Good."

The line went dead. I stared in the abyss. I had sold my soul and doomed Billy future's.

That was 8 years ago. I'm different now. Weary and road traveled. I've written large 'F's so many times I see them in my sleep. Would I take it all back? I'm not sure. it's been a wild ride and my reputation has put my skills in high demand. I've learned to adapt. I feel almost nothing when I execute another one. Send some little kid's future flushing down the toilet. Knowing they'll spend days, sometimes weeks in a personal hell because of my quick, precise strokes from a pen. yeah, it doesn't bother me at all. The only real downside is the pay. Candy and toys are great but I have no clue what to do with all the etc.
