[WP] You are Pepsi's last hope, a young submarine captain tasked with finally breaking through Coca-Cola's violent global embargo.

After the third world war, the world was divided amongst the corporations, most monopolies, some competitors left, ford oddly enough owned more farms then car factories, US steel was the worlds largest lumber company, but the life long battle between Coca-cola and Pepsi preceded. These two companies owned almost all the sources of clean drinkable water and water treatment facilities and they would fight wars over access to them.

Pepsi controlled most of old Europe, the Russian continent and parts of Africa. Coca-cola controlled South America and was being pushed out of Africa for the control of water by Pepsi. Each company sold bulk water to the North America and Australia, the areas hit hardest by the war. The Middle East and India were unfortunately complete wastelands.

The year was 2081, I was drafted as a tribute after my village was "liberated" from the "tyranny" of coke controlled South Africa. After the drafting, me and about 100 other young boys from my village were sent to train at the prestigious Pepsi academy in the northern part of scolme, in old Germany, I was 16, after 2 years of training and classes that are mandatory for all tributes to take, we had a specialization ceremony.

During this ceremony my family came to see me for the first time since I left. We had a one month leave from training to spend with our families. During that month each of us were contacted by a fake coke agent. If we bought in we were executed for treason, publicly, with our families present. If we did not we were allowed to go on to specialization.

Specialization is an interesting process where you decide what branch you want to go into (army, navy, Air Force, special forces) and what you want to do in that specific branch (army (tank, truck, supply line, ground forces, medical) navy ( U-boat, destroyer, aircraft carrier, submarine) Air Force ( mechanic, drone, pilot ( land or sea), helicopter ) special forces ( exoskeleton attack, sniper, tactical attack, search and rescue, search and destroy) ) and how long you want to be in it, it is required that after you finish 2 year specialization training you commit for 5 years of service but you can sign for longer, the longer you sign for, the more money you make. The 20 year signing bonus is more then a 5 year will make his entire career.

I picked navy specialization, with an extension in submarine for 25 years. I received a 25,000 unit signing bonus with a 2,300 unit a year salary. With a stock bonus of 2 shares a year upon retirement. A hell of a long time, but I had nothing better to do. It wasn't like I had any better situation anywhere else. This almost guaranteed me a caption position at some point in my career. I had no reason to go back to South Africa.

The first 5 years were hard, I worked most of the time in the engine room of the sub. Ours the ex-USS New Hampshire was nearly 90 years old and almost half the crew was maintenance. All the first runners, the crew in there first 5 years, were required to maintain the sub. I was trained as a nuclear engineer as a 25 year this run would last 8 years. After those 8 years I was sent to officer school in London, at the Bradley navel academy. This lasted two years, I met, dated and married a girl named Maddison during this time. She was an engineer on a coring vessel in the Arctic Ocean, turning ice into clean drinkable water on course to North America. We spent my leave in either London or on that ship. One month out of every 6 for officers was nice but I always wanted more. I hated myself for signing up for so long.

I spent 4 years as a 2 star officer, 3 years as a 3 star officer, a year as a 4 star officer and was given the caption position for 5 years upon completion of a 1 year shadow of the current caption.

I found myself at the control of the sub that I'd spent 20 years on, a 41 year old caption of a hundred year old ship. The majority of my career the sub was a peace keeping vessel. Patrolling the waters around Europe and North Africa and providing protection to caravans sailing between Europe and North America. Until in the year 2107 coca-cola broke the North America Australia free trade treaty starting the fifth water war.

I was in my forth year as caption when it was decided that the embargo to North America had gone on to long and the ex-USS New Hampshire was chosen as one of the 5 subs to assist the braking of the embargo we dropped off the maintenance crew in England and I said what I thought was my last goodbye to Madison and my ship and my crew of 19 sailed the ancient beast strait toward the embargo line 17 of the 20 ships that were sent were destroyed including mine. I threaded water for 14 hours before being captured by the enemy after that I spent 11 months in a cell and then was traded for 16 low level prisoners after I got back to London I never on a boat again. The war and the embargo still proceed to this day.
