[WP][CW]Write a scene that takes place in a dance club. Occasionally interject lyrics from the (fictional) pop song that's playing in the background, similar in format to a scene from GoT or LotR where musicians are playing a fictional song in the background.

"Sexy people on the floor tonight. Bang Bang Bang Oh Yeah"

The music pulses, the whole floor throbs and vibrates. I feel the music in my bones, under my skin.

"Boom-boom-boom Yeee-ah"

In that moment, I want nothing more than to dance, the music going on forever and ever. The music, the dancing, the crowd all gives me such a rush. As the song gets louder, the dancing becomes faster, more frenzied and frantic. I feel more alive than I have in years. I close my eyes and my body just goes with the music. Fast and slow, I dance alone on the floor.

The song changes. An oldie. I love it instantly.

"Through oceans and valleys deep, I ran from you and you from me" "Our love was madness, Baby" "Sheer agony" "Fools in love" "Like passionate enemies" "But this time..."

People pause for a while, then when the beat picks up again, and they start dancing.

"I swear Baby" "You and I will be together" "One last t-t-time"

And it is then that I see him. The face that I haven’t seen in years. I feel a shiver go down my spine. I continue dancing, looking in his direction all the while. Through all the haze and the crowd, our eyes meet. I smile, he smiles back.

I hold my arms out, inviting him to join me on the dance floor. He effortlessly cuts his way through the crowd and takes my hand, gently kissing it. He puts his arm around my waist, and we dance.

"Love burns like fire" "Suffocates like the sea" "Drowning in sheer ecstacy"

Its been years since we last saw each other, but there, on the dance floor, it seems like we had parted only for a few seconds. People jump and dance beside us, but we are in our own little bubble, swaying our bodies in perfect unison with every beat and rhythm.

We dance for a long time. Song after song, we hold onto each other, lost to the world.

As the closing time approaches, the music stops and the crowd starts thinning. Soon, we are the only two people left on the dance floor.

He runs his fingers through my hair, and we kiss. I close my eyes, letting myself sink into the sensations that I have craved for so long. When we part, nearly all the lights are off.

He kisses my hand again, and leads me to the bar.

“The bar’s closed, lovebirds,” the old barkeeper says, his voice tired. He switches on his radio, and country song fills the room.

" My Baby, its time to say goodbye " " The roads are calling me " " And I don't know why " " I cannot refuse " " This call of the wild"

“That’s alright." His voice is like silk. "We had something else in mind.”

He smiles at me, looking for my approval. I realize with a jolt just how much I have missed him over the years. I simply nod back.

In the blink of an eye, he grabs and twists the barkeeper’s neck. Warm red rivulets start flowing out of the wound. I walk over beside him, and together we consume the life force gushing out of the old man.

This feels even more intimate that the kiss earlier; I feel the barkeepers vitality flow through me. His youth and energy fill me up, quenching an insatiable thirst.

After the life finally drains from the barkeeper, we head out of the club, holding hands. In the distance, I can hear faint murmurs of the radio.

"And I must see the whole wide world now"
