[WP] You discover a massive government conspiracy to cover up... something completely mundane.

I woke up in a dark room, stumbling my way across the floor, grasping for a light switch. Where the hell is this place, I wonder. Suddenly, a steel panel on the wall slides open, and light pours into the room. A man walks in.

"Hello."

"Hello", I say as I quickly straighten out my clothes. He's calm, his smile a warm one, and he's walking towards me holding something. Oh shit

"Aren't you going to kill me?"

The man stops, as if pondering the question. He laughs, and continues to walk toward me. "Of course not."

"Why aren't you?"

"Why would we?"

"You know I knew too much."

That was correct. I had received a text from my boyfriend a few days ago about some root directory he had found, followed by a .pdf listing in detail about all his findings, all of which led up to a certain CTTFH. Yesterday, he had died in a car 'accident', and it didn't take a genius to know that they were coming for me next.

"We know that."

By know I'm pathetic, cowering in a corner. The man kneels down right next to me, his face emotionless. He reaches for the object. Oh god, please don't

"Never before in the history of the United States Government have we had to deal with such an experienced hacker."

"It wasn't me!"

"Trust me, that's what they all say before we waterboard them."

"Huh?"

"Tell me about what you know."

I begin to list everything from the file he sent me before the 'accident'. "Well, I know about the CTTFH mainframe server.", and the man lifts up his hand.

"That's enough", and he hands me the object. It's a slip of paper.

"That was a test we put up for experienced computer scientists. Like they say, 'If you can't beat them, hire them' or something like that." The man chuckles, and reaches out for my hand.

"Anyways, sorry to hear about your boyfriend. Real shame, isn't it? Whatever the case, you're hired as a Assistant System Director for the NSA. Its up to you if you want it, but seriously, think about it."

Helping me up, he leads me to the door. Freedom

And when he finally looks at me and winks, I realize that I don't even know what the name of my new job means.
