WV, closing date of Sept 3rd. Appraisal hasn't been ordered yet. Imminent extension?

Our Realtor has been on it with her commission, but she's played so much phone tag for us and with us. The loan agent came highly recommended as experience but boy oh, it's seemed like she's lollygagged about everything. I get she works from home now with Covid, but she seems complacent. She was eager today, all of a sudden, to get in touch with the appraisal team but it's gotten late here on the East Coast. Everyone has been no-contact, work from home, playing phone and email tag this length of time. I know the seller is eager to sell, too just as we are to buy. He has a home next to his parents now who are aging and under his care, as well as kids and step kids etc. I'm sure getting this sold would be a burden off for him and possibly even funeral expenses covered and college funds etc to set up for his kids and grand kids.
