Yes or No? Amazon union vote gets underway in New York

Data Scientist and AI specialist of 10 years, I’m trying to replace every one of you with either robots, drones, or bots.

You’d be surprised how easy it is in some cases. Workflow oriented people that just push work around we can just set up systems of bots. For “technical creativity” type jobs in a digital space, we use deep learning with reduced learning rates, and I’m partial to introducing forced mutations. For physical engineering, we use generative design and 3d printers. We’ve dabbled in printing with every material up through concrete.

It’s honestly just a matter of time. Automating the easy stuff means less staff requirement, we just say it’ll never replace someone, but in reality, reduced workforce is just a natural part of it. Instead of 4 people, we will only need 1.
