In your world, where do people train?

The Institutes of Education include courses in Social Sciences (including law, politics, philosophy, and language), Natural Sciences (including alchemy, medicine, engineering, and cosmology), Martial Sciences (including unarmed combat, weapons, strategy, and tactics), and Mental Sciences (including psychology, lucid dreaming, hypnosis, and psychic powers).

The Institutes cost a pretty penny, and even the middle class prefers to apprentice their children themselves or trade kids with associates and guild-mates and just get their apprentices accredited later, but scholarships (may be partial or full, may be just tuition or also including living expenses) are regularly offered to those with truly exceptional potential (like, top 0.1%-1%).

Lack of Institute accreditation may bar someone from legally practicing a protected trade. Once graduated from the Institutes, a student should be accepted by an appropriate Guild without further problems, though, and can benefit not just from legal protection but also tax breaks and maybe even an exemption from certain other legal obligations.
