I(27M) told my SO(26f) to admit herself and now her family is mad at me

Maybe y'all could sit down and talk with her family. Obviously, she needed to be evaluated or they would not have kept her. Tell them straight up, that you know you did what was right and what you would want done for yourself. What if you wouldn't have said anything and she would have hurt herself, how would they feel then (and they would surely blame you!). Other than that, you owe them nothing else. You can say you tried. If they can't respect you doing what is best for their daughter, then you don't need to be around them. May want to head over to the justnofamily sub (sorry, I don't know how to link). Whatever you do, don't let their stupidity and denial affect you. Last but not least, I want to thank you! A lot of us have been affected by suicide and would have loved someone to help our loved one, if possible!
