You're doing SO WELL. The first week or two are the hardest. If you really need additional help, speak to your doc about a non addictive medication or supplement to ease you through, and only get enough for literally a week or so. You don't want to put down one addiction and pick up another!
Be super kind to yourself, because you're starting to heal from an illness that you will have for the rest of your life. This journey is all about you, and you have to give yourself permission to be selfish. Get into your comfiest clothes, put your phone off and don't answer the door, eat all the crap you can lay your hands on. Sleep all day if you want to, do whatever it takes to heal. Just DON'T DRINK. The cravings WILL lessen over time, you have to believe that, because it's true. If you're serious about getting better, drop the 'people, places and playthings' that were your environment when drinking 100% because you're in recovery, and your sobriety is the only important thing right now. Make yourself a comfy fort/bed on the couch, load up on your favourite snacks, and totally pamper yourself, because you're going through withdrawals and you're sick. It will get better, just DON'T GO TO THE BAR OR ANYWHERE NEAR IT. I'll be rooting for you. You've got this u/HuckBELLy!
