4th grader shames GOP Texas senators who have been “attacking me since Pre-K”

..... attempting to use religious reasoning for deciding legislation that harms kids and wrongfully accuses parents of child abuse??

Do we really have to continuously remind these people that there is a separation of church and state built into the government in the U.S for a reason? That the freedom OF religion also covers freedom FROM religion, which means you cannot LEGALLY use legislation to enforce your religious views or specific religious practices on people.

Faith is important on the person-to-person level, but laws that impact an ENTIRE population, should not, and legally CANNOT be decided based on a single religious group's stance on an issue/topic. This country is not, nor was it intended to be a theocracy.
