is 73k a year worth it for davis?

No, definitely not. Davis is an amazing school, but IMO no school is worth that. That's nearly $300k in debt **IF** you graduate in 4 years.

Just think of all the things you can buy for that! It's the equivalent of a downpayment on a large home or 100 international vacations!

At the end of the day, the college you go to doesn't really matter all that much. Sure, alumni from one school *might* make $5,000 more a year because of the prestige, as is the case between UC Davis and Berkeley, but it would take 60 years of working before that difference even became noticeable.

Please please please don't take on that much debt. It just sounds like a number now, but when you actually HAVE the debt you can feel it. Trust me.

Go somewhere cheaper, get your degree, and if you still feel you need more education, you can always pursue a graduate degree and it would still be cheaper. But you'll likely find that employers don't care where your degree is from after your very first job.

No bachelors degree is worth $300k+
