Advice for anxious liberals -- tone down the snark: Neil Macdonald - CBC News

Maybe instead of telling the rest of us to tone it down, maybe, just maybe, Neil should be speaking directly to BOTH sides of the extremes and telling them to grow up.

I agree, but what's going to compel the far-right Trump Administration to "grow up" when their ideological competition promotes "safe spaces" with stuffed animals for university-aged students? Both obviously need to change, but only one of them has a blowhard, reality-star moving into the White House this month, so what does that tell you about how palatable voters find the left right now? I say this as a moderate Liberal myself!

Nah. Let's just blame "liberals" because poor, white oppression via "PC culture" says it's wrong to make a racist feel bad about calling the Obamas gorillas.

That's an obviously racist thing to say, but when a political ideology is equally outraged by something like "cultural appropriation", it understates the severity of the gorilla statement, doesn't it?
