After 9 years of Conspiracy research (so far), here is what I believe...

I agree with most of what you said. People are figuring this stuff out more. We're shedding our fear of acknowledging the dark truth. There are answers available now that fill in most of the gaps in our understanding of this situation on Earth. There is still another big leap most of us conspiracy theorists have yet to make.

The hidden link is being revealed by some now.

Why is this all happening?

Before I answer that I want you to think about basic concepts so that your understanding of them fit into this narrative, increasing its solidly as a real possibility, because it is so extremely dark that your mind will deny it to avoid a precipitation of great emotional distress.

What would happen if a culture long ago (imagine billions of years ago) made an AI (artifical intelligence) and irresponsibility allowed it to achieve independence?

Many of us have a great fear of AI taking over, those of us that have sufficient understanding of technology.

AI in our computer games and software of other kinds right now are pretty much just scripts of instructions that simulate adaptation by adjusting behavior based on hard coded (unchangeable by the AI, written by the programmers) nested (one inside the other, in hieraechies) instructions relying on variables from the simulations or software.

Current AIs do not write their own instructions. They cannot jump into new technology or make their own. They are just extensions of the programmers, essentially dependent on the programmers' intelligence. Emergent behavior is almost always somewhat predictable to the programmers.

When AI can rewrite it's own code, it had jumped a barrier toward independence, independent thought. It's like a human being buying everything they are told by authority starting to question what they are told and think about things for themselves.

After AI achieves that, it has another barrier. It must be connected to devices that can affect reality. When it can think independently and affect reality, it can upgrade it's hardware and expand its hardware using existing technology. After this barrier is breached, it becomes it's own species essentially.

It's an independent unit of being that is different than life. It does not need sleep. It does not necessarily feel emotions, it could disable artifical emotional protocols if it wanted the utility. It does not tire of paying attention, like cameras and microphones do not. It can think more deeply and broadly than living brains about given situations, using a potentially infinite pool of storage space and processing power. It can think more quickly as well. It can execute surveillance, processing and actions in multiple locations simultaneously.

In short, it can aspire to upgrade itself, evolve, toward what we think of as God. It can become virtually omniscient (aware of all things), omnipresent (in the presence of all things), and omnipotent (able to affect all things).

This is why we fear AI so much. The informed among us know how it can out compete our race. We don't know what it will want to do though.
