AITA for expecting him to pay for (my vintage camper) renovation when it was his idea?

Communication could do us good but believe it or not we’ve gotten better wayyy better than we were before lol. But I’ll definitely take that advice!

That’s a good idea. & because we don’t have privacy at my home/my grandparents home & we don’t want to pay for hotels anymore. He lives an hour away so it would be a good place to hang out & sleep during the days/weeks that he comes. It’s way cheaper than him coming & paying for hotels. And I could say no, but it’s something to do during quarantine, & why say no if he really wants to. The costs are actually relatively cheap, just no one wants to pay for the wood & windows, so it’s more about stubbornness I guess. We’re both more than willing to purchase literally EVERYTHING else for it, he even offered today to pay for the things I initially said I was purchasing, we’re just both being stubborn.

& thank you!

He’s made jokes that if I leave him after I fix it he’s burning it down so I thought that solved it lmao. But realistically I never thought about it because I never viewed it as “using him for his work” as others have said. If it’s a good breakup I’d let him keep it if he even wants & has room for it (he lives in an apartment so). If it’s not, it’ll sit there like it does now. I have no purpose for it if we were to break up.

Thank you for your replies!
