We have a “don’t talk to me” relationship. He only texts when he wants to use my military discounts or otherwise benefits him in some way (aka asking for favors) most of the time i agree to help him out.

When I do need favors he also usually says yes but only after bugging him to even read my text for days

I can afford the gas but I’m a saver. When money is an issue I’ll stop my un needed expenses to still save money. Currently the gas in California is at 7 dollars and I’ve stopped taking long distance trips. I do have money but I just refuse to spend outrageous amounts on gas.

Is 30 the hill you want to die on- dunno sorta? Our relationship is already fucked as you might’ve noticed by now. We don’t really consider each other family but more like acquaintances and I seriously doubt this is the problem that will stop him from asking for more favors in the future.
