AITA for telling my wife I’m not doing free work for my father in law?

NTA. My partner and I are a mason and a carpenter by trade, respectively. No free work anymore. It led to being taken advantage of too many times, unfortunately. Now, friends and family pay for all supplies that we tell them to get ahead of time as well as a set labor amount we all agree to beforehand. Obviously massively discounted than standard, unfamiliar labor costs. And you know what? No one feels any less loved.

Why, though?...Well, they had no labor or skill to trade back and never saw it fit to offer anything. Ever. Even when our own personal lives were being impeded upon. A six pack here and there, but... well... Bartering works two ways, and so does mutual respect and appreciation.
