You can clearly see his user name right there. It shows where I crossposted it from and who posted it first. Plus, no I wouldn’t feel like I had to if I didn’t cross post but direct linked it. He posted it. He didn’t make it. Ask every person on Reddit since its existence for credit on pictures, gifs, articles, news reports and so on if they feel bad they didn’t post the first poster. I’m betting you have posted something in the 8 years you have been here that someone posted before you, and you didn’t make sure you credited the first poster. But with all that ranting I can say that I clearly show the person who posted this first and you can see the person that created it. Should I find out their favorite ice cream for you too?
