I've noticed similar things and tbh this probably isn't just a mere glitch - religious organizations are a lot more tech savvy than we give them credit for and I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't:

1.) search hacking to push their content to people who are either disaffiliated / in the process of questioning

2.) just straight up purchasing targeted content promotion where they specify for their audience "people who have searched for or clicked on videos with keywords like "deconstruction". Provided you have money, this is super easy to do and is how most of these social media companies make money. And you would be shocked how niche or specific you can get with your requests.

I also wouldn't be shocked if dark money conservative religious groups were doing the same thing with people who search for content related to lgbt issues or contraception/abortion - if they are willing to set up fake clinics you bet they would do the same thing online
