I am an American who would love to spend time in Georgia

The non-degree English Teacher market ended like 10 years ago everywhere. The only countries left that lets non-degree Teachers work legally I think is just Cambodia and probably Georgia and neither pays great.

One can technically try illegal teaching (tourist visa) in Korea, Japan or Taiwan. Italy and Spain are apparently big illegal markets too. Or even go to those places on a Holiday Visa if you are under 30 / 35 years old (depends on your country's treaty with them).

IMHO - once you get a degree then that opens up opportunity to make $20 USD/hour tutoring kids 1:1 in China through an example like VipKidz. And making $60 - $800 a month you can definitely live well in Georgia on that kind of money. And it would pay better than English teacher jobs in Georgia too.
