AMA 21 year old adhd woman who had potential but is now a college dropout living at home with no job drunk as fuck

I had ADHD and dropped out of college too. Things turned out alright for me. Find yourself a super shitty but well paying job like waste management or commercial janitorial staff. Could be you won't care what you do for a living and will just be happy to have financial stability. That's totally fine.

I bet you didn't really want to go to college. You were probably excited about it but I bet there wasn't anything academically or career-wise that was driving you toward college. You just went because you were supposed to go.

After two years of being generally unhappy, unsuccessful, and directionless as a college student with ADHD, I dropped out. I found a job across the country cleaning office spaces in the middle of the night. It paid really well. It also sucked. After about a year, I realized that I didn't want to do that any more. I actually wanted to go to college. Once I turned that corner, everything was a lot better. Nearly a decade later, life is good now.

You might feel like a loser now, but you can pull out of it. It might take a while and it will suck, but you'll find your place.
